Spitronics Nebula Cam Controller

R1 156,00

The Spitronics Nebula Cam Controller provides open-loop VVT cam control for up to four cams using PWM control. Cam operation can be configured individually or in paired configurations and adjusted according to RPM and TPS, with PWM output from 0–100% duty cycle. It also provides a configurable RPM tachometer or general-purpose output and supports magnetic, Hall-effect, and ECU-derived RPM signals.

SKU: CAM-001 Category:

The Spitronics Nebula Cam Controller is a standalone controller specifically designed to provide open-loop Variable Valve Timing (VVT) cam control for up to four cams using PWM control.

Cam operation can be controlled according to RPM and TPS, with the PWM output adjustable from 0% to 100% duty cycle. This allows the Nebula to provide additional VVT control where the main ECU does not support the required cam-control functions or where additional output drivers are needed.

Control Up to 4 VVT Cams

The Nebula supports two operating configurations:

  • 4 Independent Cams – each cam is controlled individually using its own graph and output.
  • 2 Paired Cams – two outputs share the same duty cycle and graph, making this particularly useful for V-engine applications.

This makes the Nebula suitable for applications requiring control of intake and exhaust VVT systems across up to four cams.

RPM & TPS-Based Control

The VVT control strategy uses RPM-based graphs with a TPS-based maximum duty-cycle limiter. The final PWM duty cycle is calculated from the RPM graph and limited by the TPS graph, with the output constrained between 0% and 100% PWM.

The controller also accepts magnetic, Hall-effect or ECU-derived RPM signals, allowing it to be integrated into a wide range of engine configuration.

Spitronics Cosmos Software

The Nebula is based on the Nebula hardware platform and uses the same tuning software as the Spitronics Cosmos ECU, providing configuration and adjustment of the cam-control functions through the Spitronics software environment.

Additional RPM / GP Output

One output can be configured as either an RPM tachometer output or a General Purpose (GP) output. The tachometer output supports 1–60 pulses per revolution, while the GP output can be triggered by RPM or TPS.
